Doing my part

This week I have had so many food stamp interviews scheduled. We require quite a lot of information from people to get a case certified. Today, one of my client’s was so angry with me because I had not gotten her case certified yet. I looked it up and saw that she had not turned in the needed verification. I explained this to her and she was still angry. The frustrating part for me is that in this particular case I have gotten about 90% of the needed info on my own…all I need from her is 10% effort.

Hmmm….sometimes I ask and I ask and I ask God for stuff. And today I wondered…have I done my part? What if all He is waiting on if for me to get up and do something. But, I like my clients and just sitting waiting for Him to do all the work. Really, by sending His Son, he has done ALL that He ever needs to do for me. But He continues to do more. He clears the way, He points me in the right direction but then, I have to do my part. Today, my prayer is that I will recognize where I am not doing my part. And when He shows me, I will pray to receive that openly and do something to change it. He is my ALL, and He deserves to get my ALL.
