One more time
So, we already have up our Christmas tree! Please, no making fun! Lily loves it and I must say, it makes me smile all the time! I think we will leave it up all year! Well, every night, my sweet daughter takes all the ornaments off of the bottom of the tree. She loves to put them under the tree....I don't ask, I just watch! Then every single morning, I spend 10 minutes putting the ornaments back on the tree. This morning as I was doing my task, I realized that she is just like me. Every day, I do something just as I did the day before. This something might be having coffee, or walking my husband to the car - - - or it might be something that I have been told not to do, but choose to do anyway, leaving my Father to clean me up one more time and let me start anew the next day. Like Lily, who is always pleasantly surprised to find the ornaments back on the tree, I am always wonderfully amazed that God has put everything in its rightful place once again. He does this ALL the time even though He knows it will only take me 30 seconds to make a mess of things. I thought even further....He never gets frustrated with me. Never. He loves me. I grit my teeth as I put my perfect tree back together, but my Father never grits His teeth at me. He lovingly puts my heart back in order and says, "Let’s do this again..." Maybe one day, I will do things again. I will do them the right way...His way. I will look and see that my tree is just as He intends it to be...
