the cost

So, yesterday my sister and I were looking in the fall Pottery Barn magazine....love PB! We were looking and trying to figure out what we could "copy" for an inexpensive cost to put in our homes. We love to do that....see what PB has and then go to Hobby Lobby and put a version of it in our homes. As I was looking I got this funny feeling in my heart. This wishful feeling. "I wish I could just order what I want to and not worry about the price..."

Then I thought, how often do I do this with God's plan. Sure, His plan is the very best - best quality, best material, best everything. But, what is the cost? What do I have to give up? More often than not, I decide to mimic a part of God's plan so I can avoid giving up anything. Smart, NO WAY. But, if it saves me a few steps, why not go for my 'version' of His plan? Isn't that sad? Why do we do that? While it is a great idea to do that with Pottery Barn, I need to stop floating on versions of His plan. There is only one of His plans and it is perfect, regardless of cost. Today, my prayer for each of us is to allow God to transform our minds and convert our hearts to His Master Plan. I pray that we stop creating our own versions of what we think He might want and truly rest in HIS PERFECT PLAN. Love all of you so much....
